MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• RN License.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Note: We may consider a Registered Nurse with alternate Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 4 - 5 years of experience in Infection Control required.
• At least 2 -- 3 years of leadership experience (Charge, Coordinator or Management)
• Master's Degree (MSN, MBA, MHA or the like) preferred.
• Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.

ROLE SUMMARY:

This exciting new role will truly mold and shape the Infection Control Program throughout the SSM Health Care -- St. Louis network! Keep your focus on Infection Control while being able to step into a true leadership role as you supervise a team of eleven Infection Control Coordinators across seven hospitals. You will be a coach and mentor as you assess each member of the team's skills and needs. In this role you won't be a "desk jockey" -- you will be out there in the hospitals working with the Infection Control Coordinators, Hospital / Departmental Leaders, Physicians and more! Scratch that educator itch by providing employee, patient, and family education regarding infections, communicable disease prevention and control measures.
